Diversifying The Workforce:
Organizations that realize the necessity for a diverse workforce will be the ones who are successful in the 21st Century. Our world is changing, and on a smaller scale our individual communities are changing. We must recognize how to incorporate those changes into our workforce to create a stronger and more enriched environment. The VBP Group assists organizations in diversifying their workforce by working with the organization to develop a strategic plan to assess their present position. We then assist the organization in implementing the plan with an emphasis on careful monitoring of accountability measures.
Evolving into a more diverse workplace will take time and must be well-planned to minimize resentment within organizations from those resisting change. Within an already diverse workforce, the VBP Group works closely with the organization to ensure the needs of the entire workforce are merged to form a cohesive and unified entity.
Recruitment:
There is a tremendous demand in both the private and public sector for highly qualified diverse executives. Our combined years of government experience, along with the contacts of the VBP Group principals, provide the experience necessary to assist Federal agencies and private industry in the recruitment of highly qualified diverse applicants. Because of our unique relationships with Historically Black Colleges & Universities, Hispanic Serving Institutions, 1994 Tribal Colleges and similar community-based organizations, the VBP Group is in a unique position to offer recruitment services for both executive and entry level applicants. Diversity needs of the future can be addressed today by insuring that entry level appointments are reflective of the desired change that the organization is seeking.
Pro-Active Communication:
The VBP Group uses a variety of techniques to better communicate with an increasingly diverse workforce. The VBP Group has developed models to assist public and private sector organizations in communicating effectively with their workforce as well as their external constituents. Application of these models results in greater understanding between management and employees as well as in fewer legal challenges to policies and changes implemented within an organization. It also results in a unified culture throughout the workforce that makes the employee and outside organizations stakeholders rather than antagonists.
